Dinosaur Track Viewer/Controls
The controls work on a modal basis. The mouse (usually left hand) is used for state changes such as changing what mode of interaction you are in and clearing paths. The wand (right hand) is used for direction interactions with the data (selecting a pathline, changing particle size, moving the data).
These controls are current as of July 26, 2017
Mouse
The mouse had a D-Pad on the left side as well as standard mouse buttons (referred to as Left_Click and Right_Click here). D-Pad directions are given with the mouse held with the buttons pointed to the right.
Mouse_Up: Goes to standard mode.
Mouse_Right: Goes to similarity mode.
Mouse_Left: Clears all pathlines shown.
Mouse_Down: Changes coloring and slicing modes.
Mouse_Click_Left: Toggles showing the surface..
Mouse_Click_Right: Toggles slicing.
Wand
Some wand buttons work in all modes. Some change behavior depending on the mode.
Bottom_Trigger: Move the dataset while held.
Top_Trigger: Show a pathline from the selected particle. (currently seems buggy on getting events)
Select: Toggle playing the animation.
Joystick_Click: Move the slide.
Wand_Left: Unless specified below, moves the animation forward one frame.
Wand_Right: Unless specified below, moves the animation backward one frame.
Standard
Typical mode to use for interacting with the animation
Wand_Up: Make particles larger
Wand_Down: Make particles smaller
Wand_Left: Move back one frame
Wand_Right: Move forward one frame
Similarity
Allows you to select one particle and see paths that took similar paths to it.
Wand_Up: Increase number of paths being shown
Wand_Down: Decrease number of paths being shown
Wand_Left: Select a particle to find similar paths. Also resets to Standard mode.
Wand_Right: Toggles coloring of paths (default by similarity, toggles to by time)
Cluster
Wand_Up: Go to the next cluster.
Wand_Down: Go to the previous cluster.
