List entries are created by prefixing a line with some combination of # and * characters. To extend a list entry over multiple lines, just append a semicolon to the prefix for every line following the first one. Behold!

   • Item 1 subitem A
   • Item 1 subitem B

     Item 1 subitem B second line

   • Item 1 subitem C
2. Item 2

   Item 2 second line

3. Item 3

   it even works to insert
