HCI Course at UF Benjamin Lok. This is a course I took when at UF. The slides and links might be useful for those wanting a more of a background in HCI. (Gideon)

Applying cognitive psychology to user-interface design Marshall, Nelson, and Gardiner, 1987. Dated, but sounds very relevant. Contains a chapter called "Design Guidelines." Unfortunately, I have not been able to find this book anywhere yet or the text available online. Will keep looking, but this may not be readable by Friday.
