- some class sociology
- understanding of preliminary results
- understanding of class assignment for preliminary results

- better assignment structure and explanation
- new more concrete Tuesday deadline
- more among-class dialog (required this week, but didn't happen)
- goal clarification: building proposal
assignment overview
- part A (tuesday noon)
  - review proposal for
    - intellectual contribution (1-2 paragraphs)
    - major gaps (bullet list)
  - feel free to improve any part of the proposal rather than criticizing it, if you wish :-)
  - suggest 0.5 "must read" papers -- our E(add a reading) was not met this week or last...
- part B (class)
  - read "must read"s for discussion w.r.t. proposal relevance
  - get to another week's worth of results in your preliminary results
  - be prepared to tell us about those new results in class, tied to the intellectual claims
critique preliminary results sections
- on board: section hdr + one sentence: what is it and what does it demonstrate
- one project per person, but links are great
- links among projects: can we create a meta project with the kinds of modules we talked about early on? What would we need in order to do that? Demonstration of it done by hand? Demonstration of it done automatically?
